The Bennetts Bike

How did we end up with a factory looking Bennetts bike?

It all started off with Dad calling Bennett’s Motorcycle Insurance to insure his KTM FR450 Rally Bike. Bennett’s have insured various bike of ours over the years, from enduro bikes to the BMW adventure bikes. We were always going to call these guys up to see if they could insure the rally bikes. After the friendly insurance advisor asked why Dad had a rally bike, he told her the story you all already know, and she said it might be something their company might be interested in getting involved with.  

Moving on a few months and emails going between us all, they asked if they could have one of our bikes on the Bennetts stand at the NEC Motorcycle Live Show. Of course we were well up for this, but the show wasn’t long after Rallye du Maroc so the bikes were looking a little beaten up. Craig’s was still waiting on parts arriving following his crash at the rally, so it was decided that Carl’s would go to the show.

We put a few ideas about; we wanted the bike to look trick and show commitment to Bennetts. So, we contacted Ricky at Monsters of Dirt, he’s designed and printed graphics for our enduro and rally bikes. We spoke to Chris the Brand/Events/PR Manager at Bennetts ref the custom graphics, which he was well up for. Chris sent over some very cool samples of graphics they had done on some of their vehicles. We put these to Ricky and his team, and we ended up with a very trick looking bike!

The bike got lots of attention at the Motorcycle Live and has been on show at other events like the Bike Shed/Brake Magazine Dakar show, The Owls Nest/Mental Health Motorbike day and the HR4K/Searles2Dakar day.

Bennetts have had our back from the start, they’ve always supported us, especially Chris, Michael and Marisa. They’ve been pushing our story across their social media platforms which is exposing us to more people, we’re super grateful for this and can’t thank the team enough. We also officially announced that Bennetts are an official sponsor of ours, so you’ll get to see a lot more of us tying in with them. Keep your eyes peeled.
